1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Spinlin platform operated by:

By using the platform, the user agrees to these Terms.

2. Service Description

Spinlin is an AI-powered language learning platform.

The service includes:

  • Random language conversation practice
  • AI-generated grammar and language feedback
  • Storage of transcripts and learning analytics
  • Optional language exams (A1–B2)
  • Friend system for reconnecting with users

There is no guarantee of specific availability or specific conversation partners.

3. Registration and Account

Users register via Google OAuth.

Users must:

  • provide accurate information
  • keep login credentials secure
  • not impersonate others

There is no entitlement to account creation.

4. Minimum Age

Users must be at least 16 years old.

By registering, users confirm that they meet this requirement.

5. Platform Usage

Users agree not to:

  • use the platform for illegal purposes
  • harass other users
  • attempt to manipulate or damage the system

Accounts may be suspended for violations.

6. AI-Powered Features

Spinlin uses artificial intelligence to analyze language input.

The AI:

  • evaluates grammar and expression
  • provides learning suggestions
  • generates automated feedback

No guarantee is given for accuracy or completeness.

AI results do not constitute a certified language assessment.

The AI Disclaimer applies separately.

7. Random Matching

Users are matched randomly.

  • No control over partner selection
  • Fully automated matching
  • No guarantee of language or partner selection

8. Friend Feature

Users may add other users as friends after interactions.

This feature is optional.

9. Paid Services

Spinlin offers:

  • subscriptions (monthly/annual)
  • one-time payments for language exams (A1–B2)

Prices are shown during checkout.

10. Contract Formation

A contract is concluded upon successful payment via Stripe.

Access to digital content is granted immediately after purchase.

11. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

Users may cancel at any time in their account settings.

12. Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal expires once the user explicitly agrees to immediate performance of the digital service.

13. Intellectual Property

All platform content is protected by copyright.

Users receive a non-transferable, limited license.

14. Availability

No guarantee is given for uninterrupted availability of the service.

Maintenance and technical issues may occur.

15. Liability

Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence.

No liability for:

  • user-generated content
  • AI-generated outputs
  • external technical failures

16. Termination and Suspension

Accounts may be suspended or deleted if users:

  • violate these Terms
  • misuse the platform
  • engage in illegal activities

17. Data Protection

The Privacy Policy applies separately.

18. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms.

19. Governing Law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
